i convinced kelly we should get a TiVo when they were brand new and were only being test marketed in the Bay Area. I posted some comments about it on deja.com and a year later a New York Times reporter doing a story about TiVo saw my postings and wanted to interview me on the phone. after his editor read the story, she called me and asked if she could send over a photographer. so two rolls of film and a week later, i'm famous for 15 minutes!
