the lagoon at epcot as seen from international promenade. the "hotel" neon over the sphere was added for the millenium celebration. underneath it is a "ride" sponsored by coke. it consists of a very airconditioned room that reminds you that coke is really "cool."

epcot was supposed to stand for "experimental prototype city of tomorrow" but they couldn't figure out the legalities of having people live in a "ride" so it now stands for "every paycheck comes on thursday" or "every parent comes out tired." the original idea was instead carried out here, in the town of celebration. its uber-planned and i think the rulers of singapore probably get ideas here. think "the truman show."

chris and trudy's place. we made it really messy while we were there. we also kept them up past their bedtime thanks to our west-coast body clocks. trudy is crashed out on the floor.

another highlight of the trip was flying home on a 777. a very spacious plane with high ceilings and the latest gadgets including tv's w/14 channels, including two discover channels. plus a map with location, time, distance, and temperature. you get a fancy armrest to run it all from. brian worked on finishing "kitchen confidential" while enjoying the extra legroom in coach. our friends jonathon castrodale and alan petrie helped design the 777.
