for this year's anniversary/brian's birthday/valentines day getaway, brian planned the trip. We went to palm springs for the first time! There isn't too much to do in PS unless you are an avid golfer, but we managed to find them all: shopping for clothes, shopping for mid-century modern furniture, shopping for men, visiting the windfarm, and seeing joshua tree national park.

We stayed at the El Mirasol inn, a complex built by howard hueghs. Two pools, a hot tub, and a steam room. we managed... :-).

^ the cholla cacti, which grow on the border between the colorado and mohave deserts. They give off an glow at sunset between the needles.
