HOME

In mid-june, kelly got an email from his college buddy, raoul, that they were moving out of the house he lived in while junior/senior in college: the bagel ranch. This home is filled with many great memories. It was also a place that tod streater enjoyed a great deal, and some of his ashes remained there. it had also been a long time since I had been back to visit, so it was time to go up. the trip was 80% fun, and 20% serious. it was great to see everyone, but it was hard going back seven years to tod's death and completing another step in saying goodbye.

the apartment building in downtown olympia that I lived in before moving to the bagel ranch. It looks about the same.

the evergreen state college hasn't changed much, but they do have lots of new toys. here I am with an old one, the steenbeck. more pics here.

here's ken wilhelm tinkering with his hifi: fancy DVDs, HDTV, and surround sound, with drapes, air, and dimmers all run by remote control. cool!

the much-missed bagel ranch. so many memories, but many good wishes to raoul and jill in their new home, the tofu ranch.
